The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department will offer a three day, Out-of-School Time school-age program that will fill your child’s holiday break with creative and innovative opportunities.

Through the program, children will participate in individual and group activities that will extend a child’s recreational, social, and learning experience.

Registration for the “THANKSGIVING BREAK DAY CAMP” will begin Wednesday, November 10 and can be completed online at or during regular business hours at the following locations. No telephone registrations will be accepted.

Registrations will be accepted at these locations during the following times:

Parks & Recreation Department Administrative office, 1501 E. Hadley Ave., 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.

Meerscheidt Recreation Center, 1600 E. Hadley Ave., 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center, 304 W. Bell Ave., 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.

*Space is limited, registration is first-come first-served.*

The “THANKSGIVING BREAK DAY CAMP” is FREE!!! The camp is for children grades kindergarten through fifth (K-5) and will be at Meerscheidt Recreation Center, 1600 E. Hadley Ave. The camp hours and dates are 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, November 22 to November 24. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided.
