Police
The Las Cruces Police Department is staffed by a motivated group of professional officers and civilian personnel who are committed to helping keep our city a safe place to live, work and visit.
Jeremy Story serves as Interim Chief of Police and oversees LCPD’s budgeted staff of 220 commissioned law enforcement officers and roughly 100 civilian personnel. The department services a city with a population of about 110,000 residents. In each of the last couple of years, officers have responded to roughly 460 calls for service each day – or about 160,000 per year.
We continuously seek partnerships and build on established relationships to maintain the high quality of services our department provides.
We would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation for the support we receive from our community.
Feel free to browse our website to learn more about our department. Also, please consider following us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
We look forward to meeting you.
