About Us

Welcome to the Quality of Life Department’s website! The Quality of Life Department is the home of the City’s Branigan Library, Museums, Senior Programs, Public Art, and Volunteer Network – all of which contribute, through the tireless efforts of our staff and volunteers – to a better standard of living in our community. While every aspect of the work we do at the City of Las Cruces is intended to improve the quality of life of our residents, the programs and services of the Quality of Life Department comprise the heart and soul of our community – providing places to learn, receive valuable information, be inspired, and cared for at every stage of life.

We invite you to browse our site to find activities that will enrich the lives of you and your family – whether it is attending story time at the Branigan Library, a beautiful art exhibit at the Museum of Art, a hands-on science activity at the Museum of Nature & Science, or lunch at one of our Senior Centers. Be on the lookout for special events such as the Summer and Winter Reading Programs at the Branigan Library, Summer Camp at the Museums, and upcoming dances at our Senior Centers. Come be a part of the best our community has to offer!
