Megan Jacobs is an Associate Professor in the Honors College at the University of New Mexico and an Adobe Master Educator.
Rinko Kawauchi is one of the most lauded Japanese contemporary photographers. Her work uses photography as a tool to poetically record and highlight the aesthetics of everyday life. Her works have been published in dozens of monographs which explore motherhood, Japanese culture, and the natural world. This lecture will explore the breadth of Kawauchi's work and forge connections between her unique photographic approach and the field of contemporary philosophical study, aesthetics.
