Las Cruces International Airport, 8950 Zia Boulevard, will be the site of 2022 Airport Appreciation Day, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15.
The event is a family-oriented aviation event featuring planes, helicopters, and drones. Public admission and parking at the airport are free.
There will be civilian and military aircraft displays, including two King Air aircraft from Biggs Army Air Base, in El Paso. Additionally, Virgin Galactic will have its aerobatic training plane on display at the airport. A one-man helicopter demonstration is scheduled at approximately 1 p.m. Oct. 15.
The event will also include classic cars, police cars, fire trucks, utility vehicles, drones, and food trucks. There will STEM activities and much more.
Flights over the Mesilla Valley, in a Pilatus PC12/45, will be available for only $75.
Las Cruces International Airport is about 10 miles west of downtown Las Cruces, at Exit 132, off Interstate 10.
