Thomas Branigan Memorial Library presents Make a Scene, visualizing and translating onto canvas a scene from a predetermined book.
Canvasses and painting supplies will be provided. In October, we will be painting from Edgar Allan Poe's “The Tell-Tale Heart.”
There will be a reading of the text, an audio played and printed short provided for individuals to reference. The goal is to put what the reader visualizes on canvas and then share other interpretations as well.
All levels of artistic ability are encouraged to attend. No judgement, just fun, and transferring imagination to canvas.
Please wear clothes you do not mind getting paint on or provide your own smock. This craft workshop will be from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11 and Wednesday, Oct. 12 at the Munson Senior Center, 975 S. Mesquite St.
Registration is required and you can register for this workshop on the Library’s Event Calendar at https://las-cruces.assabetinteractive.com/calendar.
