Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Ave., presents “Make a Scene: “The Tell-Tale Heart,” a program that involves visualizing and translating onto canvas a scene from a predetermined book.
Canvasses and painting supplies will be provided. In October, we will be painting from Edgar Allan Poe's “The Tell-Tale Heart.”
There will be a reading and playing of a recording of the text and a printed excerpt provided for individuals to reference. The goal of this program is to translate the reader’s visualization of the text on to canvas and then share other interpretations as well.
All levels of artistic ability are encouraged to attend. No judgement; just fun transferring our imaginations to canvas.
Please wear clothes you do not mind getting paint on or provide your own smock. This craft workshop will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18 in the Roadrunner Room at Thomas Branigan Memorial Library.
Registration is required and you can register for this workshop on Branigan Library’s event calendar at https://las-cruces.assabetinteractive.com/calendar.
