Volunteers are needed for a cleanup of west Picacho Avenue from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28, 2022.
The cleanup, in City Council District 4, represented by City Councilor Johana Bencomo, will be staged at 2407 W. Picacho Ave. All supplies for the cleanup will be provided.
From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022, the West Picacho Health and Wellness Fair will be at 2407 W. Picacho Ave. Free health screenings will be provided by the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine; free vaccines by Amador Mobile Health; free flu shots will be provided by the New Mexico Department of Health; free food from Casa de Peregrinos, and many other resources will be available for residents who attend.
The Health and Wellness Fair also will include booths sponsored by Zia Recovery, La Piñon, Mobile Integrated Health, Mesilla Valley Community of Hope, High Desert Hospice, FYI+, Mesilla Valley Hospice, New Mexico Department of Health, La Casa, New Mexico Workforce Solutions, Jardin de los Niños, El Caldito, Ideal Option, Crisis Triage Center, and the United Way of Southwest New Mexico.
All community members are invited to attend each event.
