[ARCHIVED] City of Las Cruces Thanksgiving Holiday Schedule 2022

City Hall and most City of Las Cruces offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 25 for the Thanksgiving holiday. Emergency services such as fire and police will not be affected. The following is a list of closures:

Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 24

  • All recreation facilities closed.
  • Community centers closed.
  • Senior Programs closed.
  • Branigan/Sage/Munson libraries closed. Early closure at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23.
  • All museums closed.
  • Solid waste offices closed.
  • The Foothills Landfill closed.
  • Residential trash collection and recycling services will be suspended Thursday. Routes scheduled Thursday and Friday will be picked up Friday*.
  • Commercial trash collection will be suspended Thursday. Commercial routes will be picked up a day early beginning Sunday, Nov. 20 - see breakout information below ** Friday routes will have usual collection.
  • No RoadRUNNER Transit services, or buses, will operate. The Transit offices will be closed.
  • Visit Las Cruces closed.
  • Rio Grande Theatre closed.

Day after Thanksgiving, Friday, Nov. 25

  • All recreation facilities closed.
  • Community centers closed.
  • All Senior Programs closed.
  • Branigan/Sage/Munson libraries closed.
  • Solid waste offices closed.
  • Residential and Commercial trash collection will be collected as usual (with Thursday routes).
  • Foothills Landfill usual hours of operation (clean fill/yard waste) for Friday and Saturday.
  • Commercial trash will have usual Friday collection.
  • All museums closed.
  • RoadRUNNER Transit will have Saturday levels of service, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Visit Las Cruces closed.
  • Rio Grande Theatre closed.

 
* In the event residential solid waste collection is unable to be completed Friday Nov. 25, it will be completed Saturday, Nov. 26.  

** Commercial trash collections will be run one day before, for the week of Thanksgiving.
 Monday routes (Nov. 21) will be collected Sunday, Nov. 20.
 Tuesday routes (Nov. 22) will be collected Monday, Nov. 21.
 Wednesday routes (Nov. 23) will be collected Tuesday, Nov. 22.
 Thursday routes (Nov. 24) will be collected Wednesday, Nov. 23.
 There will be NO solid waste collections Thursday, Nov. 24 (Thanksgiving Day).
 Friday routes (Nov. 25) will be picked up as usual on Friday.
 Saturday routes (Nov. 26) will be picked up as usual on Saturday.
