Traffic signal repairs will begin at 7 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022, at Amador Avenue and Mesquite Street. The repairs are expected to be completed by 5 p.m. Thursday.
Motorists should be aware lane closures will be necessary and possible short-term closures could occur. Temporary stop signs will be installed on all approaches while the work is being done, as the traffic signal may be turned off.
Surrounding businesses and residences will remain accessible. RoadRUNNER Transit routes may be affected during the repairs.
The City has verified that no conflicting public or private construction projects will take place in the immediate area during this time. The work will be in City Council District 1.
Motorists are urged to drive cautiously through the area or use an alternate route to avoid possible delays, as the work could affect traffic along westbound Amador Avenue and northbound and southbound Mesquite Street.
