[ARCHIVED] Adrienne Widmer Named as New Las Cruces Utilities Director

The City of Las Cruces has named Adrienne Widmer as the new Las Cruces Utilities Director.   Adrienne L. Widmer, P.E., is a native New Mexican, joining the City of Las Cruces in 2006 as the Utilities Projects and Water Rights Manager in the Utilities Department. She has more than eleven years in utilities project management experience assisting other rural water organizations (mutual domestics), sanitation districts, cities, and towns with new and rehabilitation of water and wastewater systems. Amongst other duties, she oversees the Griggs-Walnut Groundwater Plume Superfund Site for the City of Las Cruces and Dona Ana County and manages the City's water rights.
 
 Ms. Widmer earned her degree in Civil Engineering from New Mexico State University and has held several positions within Utilities, being promoted to the Regulatory Environmental Services/Technical Support Administrator, Water Resources Administrator, Deputy Director Water, and Assistant Utilities Director prior to being promoted to Utilities Director.
