Construction of parking and access areas that are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act will begin Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023, at the Butterfield Trail Shooting Range, which is west of Las Cruces, and north of Interstate 10, Exit 127.
The project will require periodic closures of the Short Distance Range and Known/Long Distance Range. The duration of the project is anticipated to be from Jan. 19, 2023, to Feb. 24, 2023.
Use of either of the shooting ranges will be prohibited while construction activity of the project is taking place. There will be no exceptions.
The contractor will post and maintain closures. Range users shall adhere to posted closures and not enter identified project areas while affected ranges are open for use. Users also must maintain awareness of construction activities in the area while using neighboring ranges.
