The New Mexico Department of Transportation District One office, in cooperation with Mountain States Construction, Inc., is excited to announce an upcoming roadway rehabilitation project on U.S. Highway 70 from Milepost 143, the Interstate 10 and U.S. 70 interchange, to Milepost 161, at Organ.
This rehabilitation project was awarded $7.2 million and is expected to take 220 working days to complete, weather pending.
Beginning Monday, Jan. 23, 2023, motorists can expect various daytime lane closures on the NASA and Del Rey Boulevard interchanges for roadway milling and paving. Each intersection is expected to take three to four days to complete. The hours of operation for Mountain States Construction, the contractor for the project, will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.
