The City’s Quality of Life and Department and Ngage New Mexico have partnered to begin planning for the development of a Children’s Museum in Las Cruces.

A survey has been created and is now available on the City’s social media platforms for parents and families to fill out. The survey is available online in English and Spanish.

The English version of the survey is accessible by clicking here.

The Spanish version of the survey can be found by clicking here.

The goal of the survey is to get public input from Las Cruces families about their interests and preferences in terms of what services, experiences, and amenities should be offered at the proposed museum.

The project is still in its preliminary stage, so there isn’t a specific location or design yet that has been developed. Area residents are encouraged to complete the survey in order to shape the future direction of the children’s museum project.

Ngage New Mexico is a nonprofit and primary support organization for the Success Partnership, a prenatal-to-career education initiative. Ngage New Mexico’s work is rooted in creating partnerships across sectors to achieve a collective impact toward improving education outcomes in Dona Ana County.

The Children’s Museum started as a project of the Success Partnership’s Early Childhood Education Coalition. Now, in partnership with the City of Las Cruces, the monumental concept of a dedicated children’s museum in Las Cruces is beginning to unfold.

M. Goodwin Museum Planning, Inc. (MFMP), the project consultant, is a national leader in planning for cultural organizations. In its 45 years in business, it has provided feasibility, strategic, organizational, business, space, and facility planning programs for more than 160 museums, cities and organizations throughout the U.S. and around the world.
