The Las Cruces City Council will conduct a regular meeting at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, 2019 at City Hall, 700 N. Main St. The meeting will be televised live on CLC-TV, Comcast Cable channel 20. The meeting will also be webcast live at 1 p.m. Monday here and on the City’s Facebook page.
Among resolutions for discussion and consideration by the Council are:
Resolution No.20-039: A resolution repealing Resolution 19-180 and approving the award of a contract for the promotion and marketing of the City of Las Cruces, New Mexico as a destination for the film production industry to Film Las Cruces of Las Cruces, New Mexico, for a term of one year, with the option to renew for an additional two one-year terms, in an amount not to exceed $95,000 annually, subject to approved budget appropriations and annual renewals (Procurement No. 18-19-074).
Resolution No.20-041: A resolution approving the City of Las Cruces Museum System fees and charges for Fiscal Year 2019/2020 and repealing Resolution No. 18-076.
A first reading of a proposed ordinance is for the following item. No public discussion will be conducted on the following item, and a councilor may only ask City staff for clarification on the proposed ordinance:
Council Bill No. 20-004; Ordinance No. 2896: An ordinance authorizing a real estate exchange agreement for 3.95 acres of land located at the northwest corner of Bataan Memorial Highway and Rinconada Boulevard owned by the City of Las Cruces and 4.62 acres of land located along the southwest side of Roadrunner Parkway owned by Wilfred E. Binns and Iva Bernice Irrevocable Children’s Trust 10-15-93 #1001, in accordance with provisions of LCMC 1997, Section 2-1312.
