[ARCHIVED] Volunteers Needed for Team Up to Clean Up District 3 Event

Team Up Clean

Get rid of weeds, trash and junk, graffiti and other debris in your neighborhood the Team Up to Clean Up way. The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department’s Keep Las Cruces Beautiful (KLCB) will conduct its next Team Up to Clean Up event from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019 in City Council District 3, which is represented by Councilor Gabe Vasquez.

Roll-off containers, provided by Las Cruces Utilities Solid Waste, will be available at two locations in District 3 that residents can utilize during the event. One container will be at the vacant lot at the southeast corner Don Roser Drive and Missouri Avenue, with another at Sierra Middle School, in the school’s east parking lot at Lewis Street and Spruce Avenue. KLCB staff will have a supply station at each location and can provide information for specific clean up locations, if needed.

Recruit your neighbors and friends to join efforts to maintain property beginning where you live. Take advantage of the large roll-offs to dump large loads of yard waste, over-sized junk, or broken furniture without having to go to the landfill. Anyone living in District 3 can contribute to the beautification of the City of Las Cruces by joining KLCB to help clean up their neighborhood!

Tons of debris were collected in District 1, District 4 and District 5 Team Up to Clean Up events in recent months. Look for future Team Up to Clean Up events in your area coming soon.
