Small business entrepreneurs will be able to participate in a newly initiated customer service forum which highlights the means of establishing a small business in Las Cruces.
Staff members with the City’s Community Development and Economic Development departments will host open forum, or “walk-in” sessions from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. every Wednesday at the Community Development Department business lobby conference room 1158. The initial opportunity begins March 1, 2023, and will continue weekly.
Information on zoning regulations, building tenant improvements, application processing for permits, business registrations, project development assistance and general discussion on business plans.
“This small business forum intent is to help those who have business development questions about how to start in getting their doors open for business operations,” said Community Development Director Larry Nichols. “The Economic Development Department team, led by Director Elizabeth Teeters, will bring their enthusiasm in contributing their expertise to the forum.”
Starting a small business has many items that must be undertaken to enable a successful operation. It is the City’s hope that new business endeavors will develop.
