The New Mexico Department of Transportation District One office in cooperation with Mountain States Construction, Inc., the project contractor, will continue with the roadway rehabilitation project on U.S. Highway 70 from milepost 143, the Interstate 10 and U.S. 70 interchange, to milepost 161, in Organ.
Drivers can expect various weekday daytime lane closures on the frontage road and intersections on all eastbound and westbound lanes from NASA Road to Del Ray Boulevard. Beginning Monday, Feb. 27, 2023, crews will be moving to the Holman Road intersection which may also impact travel on Dunn Drive.
During milling and paving operations lanes will be closed daily for each lane of travel. Traffic can travel to the next intersection to turn around.
The contractor’s hours of operation will be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. Motorists should expect delays and plan accordingly.
