Businesses on the north side of Rinconada Boulevard, between east Northrise Drive and Avenida Carmen, will experience a water outage from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2023.
The water outage will enable Crosstown Construction to complete water line improvements to serve upcoming development at Avenida Carmen.
Adjacent areas also may be affected by the outage. If water on your street is scheduled to be turned off, City crews will post a door hanger notice a minimum of 24 hours in advance.
Once service is restored, businesses may notice discolored water due to iron, manganese, and calcium deposits. Although the water is safe to drink, City officials recommend waiting for the water to become clear before washing laundry.
The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. If it does not, residents should flush all faucets in their house for five minutes.
