Peachtree Hills Road residents to Mesa Central Drive, and from Holman Drive to Mesa Grande Drive, will experience a water outage from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday March 14, 2023.
The City of Las Cruces Water Production Section will be replacing an existing isolation valve near Well 40, in the Las Cruces water system.
The affected areas will include:
- Peachtree Hills Road to Mesa Central Drive.
- Holman Drive to Mesa Grande Drive.
Adjacent areas may also be affected. Peachtree Hills Road and Mesa Grande Drive are in City Council District 5.
Residents may notice discolored water once the water is restored due to iron, manganese, and calcium deposits. Although the water is safe to drink, City officials recommend waiting for the water to become clear before washing laundry.
The discoloration should disappear within 24 hours. If it does not, residents should flush all faucets in their house for five minutes.
