[ARCHIVED] Cornhole Tournament to Benefit Special Olympics

The Las Cruces Police Department is hosting a Cornhole Tournament on Oct. 5 with all proceeds benefiting local Special Olympics athletes.

Registration for the Law Enforcement Torch Run Cornhole Tournament begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Downtown Plaza on Main Street. Entry fee is $30 for each team and the tournament is set to begin at 10 a.m. Tournament participants are encouraged to bring their own boards and bags.

The double-elimination tournament will offer 1st Place and 2nd Place prizes.

Spectators will be entertained by DJ Mike. Local Special Olympics athletes will also be on hand. Donations will be accepted and Law Enforcement Torch Run merchandise will be available for purchase with all proceeds from the day’s event benefiting Special Olympics of New Mexico.
