The Las Cruces Police Department will have a Cornhole Tournament on Oct. 5 with all proceeds benefiting local Special Olympics athletes.
Registration for the Law Enforcement Torch Run Cornhole Tournament begins at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Downtown Plaza, on Main Street. Entry fee is $30 for each team. The tournament will begin at 10 a.m. Tournament participants are encouraged to bring their own boards and bags.
The double-elimination tournament will offer prizes for 1st and 2nd place.
Spectators will be entertained by DJ Mike. Local Special Olympics athletes will also be at the event. Donations will be accepted and Law Enforcement Torch Run merchandise will be sold with all proceeds from the day’s event benefiting Special Olympics of New Mexico.
