The City of Las Cruces 2020 Budget, which is the approved financial action plan outlining how the City serves the community, is available at www.Las-Cruces.org/Budget. The plan includes community projects like affordable housing, art in public places, trails, the Mano Y Mano program, and General Obligation (GO) Bond projects such as Fire Station No. 3 on Valley Drive and the Animal Services Center facilities.
“The 2020 Budget is the detailed financial story of the customer service we provide to the more than 100,000 residents, students, businesses, and the many people who visit the Las Cruces area,” said William Studer, interim city manager. “It makes smart investments in programs needed to keep pace with our growing community’s service expectations.”
Developed to further the City’s mission of delivering exemplary municipal services to the entire community, the 2020 Budget is the City’s first performance-based budget and is based on City Council strategic goals and objectives. The annual budget for $410 million represents the City’s financial plan for the current fiscal year from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020.
