The City of Las Cruces Parks and Recreation Department will offer a free community event to celebrate 50 years of athletics, recreation, and fun at Meerscheidt Recreation Center, 1600 E. Hadley Ave., from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 2023.
Community members of all ages and abilities will have the opportunity to earn prizes while participating in various activities such as free throw and 3-point contests, modified sand volleyball games, table tennis, concrete cornhole, soccer targets, pickleball instruction – and play – for beginners, and the P&R mobile unit ninja course. Sign-ups for activities will be at the event and participation is first come first served.
Access to weight room and regular Saturday activities will resume June 3, 2023.
