The City of Las Cruces Water Section will be performing a fire flow test at the northeast corner of Rea Boulevard, in the Las Cruces Innovation and Industrial Park, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023.

This fire flow test is being done in response to fire protection for new and existing businesses on Rea Boulevard and Industrial Park Avenue.

Adjacent areas also may be affected. Rea Boulevard and Industrial Park Avenue are in City Council District 4.

Businesses and any residences in the affected area may notice discolored water due to iron, manganese, and calcium deposits. Although the water is safe to drink, City officials recommend waiting for the water to become clear.
