California Avenue will be closed for approximately 14 days beginning Monday, May 15, 2023, from south Espina Street to south Solano Drive.
A-Mountain Construction will be installing new ADA ramps, removing existing asphalt, and installing new asphalt as part of the City of Las Cruces 2022-2023 Pavement Replacement Project Phase A. During construction, access to California Avenue will not be permitted to through traffic.
Detours and signs will be present directing traffic around the work zone.
Motorists who want to avoid possible delays are encouraged to seek alternate routes. RoadRUNNER Transit Route 8 may be affected.
