The Las Cruces Museum of Nature & Science, 411 N. Main St., will conduct a workshop on desert safety, “Hiking Safety and Awareness,” featuring guest speakers from the Mesilla Valley Search and Rescue Team, at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2023.
This workshop will be in the Museum of Nature & Science classroom.
The workshop will focus on the proper safety steps and precautions to take with special insight from members of the Mesilla Valley Search and Rescue team. Often, common mistakes made by hikers can cause a normal outing to turn dangerous.
