The Parks & Recreation Department’s Keep Las Cruces Beautiful (KLCB), an affiliate of New Mexico Clean and Beautiful programs, will conduct a City Council District 5 “Team Up to Clean Up” from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 10, 2023.
Individuals, or groups in that district can register to clean up an area of City Council District 5 and KLCB will provide supplies. Volunteers can register by clicking this link:

The public can do their own household clean up and dispose of collected trash in large containers that will be at:
- Ashley Furniture parking lot, 3299 Del Ray Boulevard.
- Highland Elementary School, 4201 Emerald St.
Items NOT allowed in a solid waste container are:
- No medical waste, as per Section 20.9.8.8 NMAC of the New Mexico Environmental Protection regulations.
- Hot ashes or coals.
- Tires or any vehicle parts, including car batteries.
- Fluorescent light bulbs.
- Large yard waste items, such as stumps or trunks.
- Concrete, bricks, or rocks.
- Toxic, combustible, or hazardous materials.
- Any construction or remodeling material.
- Refrigerators, or anything with refrigerant.
- Animal carcasses.
