Las Cruces firefighters extinguished a fire that damaged a home late Wednesday on east Lucero Avenue.
Shortly after 11 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, firefighters were dispatched to a residential structure fire on the 700 block of east Lucero Avenue and found flames coming from a front room of the single-story home.
Crews searched the structure, determined that it was unoccupied and attacked the blaze. Firefighters were able to keep flames from extending into adjacent areas of the home.
The fire was brought under control in 10 minutes. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire and damage estimates are still under investigation.
