[ARCHIVED] Entries Sought for the Veterans Day Parade

Veterans Day Parade 2018

Entries are now being accepted for this year’s Veterans Day Parade to be conducted at 11 a.m. Nov. 9, 2019 through downtown Las Cruces.

Registration to enter the parade is available online at http://lascrucesvetday.org. There is no cost to submit an entry into the parade.

The parade route will begin at Lohman Avenue and will travel north on Main Street to the roundabout adjacent to City Hall. The parade will then travel south on Water Street to the staging area where it began. The parade’s review stand will be at City Hall, 700 N. Main St.

Free public parking for the parade will be available at City Hall.

The theme of this year’s parade is Honoring Our Greatest Generation. Evanee Stockman, an eighth-grade student at Picacho Middle School, is the winner of this year’s poster contest design.

The annual parade began in 1995 and has been staged by volunteers since then.
