The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department will hold its annual Pumpkin Splash Patch from noon to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center, 1401 E. Hadley Ave. Children ages 4 to 12 will have the opportunity to pick out a pumpkin from the “water pumpkin patch” and decorate it for Halloween.

The family event will be a part of the “Spooky Downtown” series and includes Halloween-themed activities and music. Admission is $3 per child; parents get in for free.

Children must be accompanied by an adult during the event and parents of non-swimmers must accompany their children in the water.

Call the Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center for more information at 575/541-2782.

Take advantage of Fare Free Day on RoadRUNNER Transit for transportation to the “Pumpkin Splash Patch” as well as other “Spooky Downtown” activities like the Haunted Museum also on Oct. 26. For a complete schedule of family friendly events, go to www.las-cruces.org/spookydowntown.
