[ARCHIVED] Community Input Sought for MPO Transportation Plan Update

Residents of Las Cruces and central Doña Ana County are invited to give their input during the second phase of the Mesilla Valley Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) community meetings during October and November. The Mesilla Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is in the process of updating the MTP, a long-range transportation plan that guides planning, construction, operation, and maintenance of the multi-modal transportation system in the MPO area.

All public meetings begin at 5 p.m. at the locations listed below:

Friday, Oct. 25, 2019 Munson Senior Center

975 S. Mesquite St, Las Cruces

Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2019 Radium Springs Community Center

12060 Lindbeck Road, Radium Springs

Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019 Sage Café

6121 Reynolds Drive, Las Cruces

Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019 Bank of the West Downtown

201 N Church St, Las Cruces

Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019 Vado/Del Cerro Community Center

180 La Fe Ave, Mesquite/Vado

Federal law requires the MTP have a minimum 20-year planning horizon and be updated every five years. The Mesilla Valley MPO is the multi-jurisdictional planning agency responsible for transportation planning for the Las Cruces urbanized area in central Doña Ana County.
