Las Cruces Public Libraries invite residents to join us for Murderous Reads, a group where participants read and discuss books from a different mystery series each month.
Murderous Reads meets at 1 p.m. the third Wednesday of each month in the second-floor Conference Room at Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Ave. The group also meets on Zoom.
Do you love a good murder mystery? Each month, we discuss a featured mystery series, where you can read any, some, or all the books.
Because we’re talking about the series, it’s more of a fun, easy-going discussion of what the author is trying to do rather than a discussion of a specific book.
In November, we will visit North Dakota with Marcie Rendon’s Cash Blackbear character. In December, we will explore the world of forensics with Iris Johansen’s character, Eve Duncan.
In January, we will travel back in time with H. Rider Haggard’s Allan Quatermain, and in February, we’ll travel to Italy with Donna Leon’s Commissario Brunetti series.
For Zoom information and titles, and available formats of books in each series, entries are on Branigan Library’s Event Calendar at https://las-cruces.assabetinteractive.com/calendar/.
