Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program at Las Cruces Public Libraries

Public Libraries, IRS to Offer Tax Assistance Program

Las Cruces Public Libraries will partner with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to carry out Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) from February to April 2024.

VITA services will be offered at the three library locations: Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Ave., Sage Café branch library, 6121 Reynolds Drive, and Munson branch library, 975 S. Mesquite St.

Volunteers are trained by the IRS to help citizens prepare their taxes for free. The days and times residents can come for assistance will be posted at each library and on its website and social media platforms so they can come on a drop-in basis to get help.

To learn more about the VITA Program, meet its volunteers, and get ready for tax season, join us at Thomas Branigan Memorial Library from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.  Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, for a VITA Meet-and-Greet.

This document can be made available in alternate formats by calling (575) 528-4102 or (575) 528-4008 (TTY). Anyone who requires an accommodation for a disability to participate in this event should call Branigan Library at least 48 hours in advance at (575) 528-4102 or (575) 528-4008 (TTY).
