The City of Las Cruces has produced two informational videos about Ranked Choice Voting (RCV) that are airing on a continuous basis on the City’s TV channel, CLC-TV Comcast channel 20 through Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5.
One video is from a news conference the City held in which Dona Ana County Clerk Amanda López Askin explains RCV and provides answers to frequently asked questions. The video also shows how to fill out an RCV sample ballot and includes a demonstration of the ballot tabulator.
The second video is one-on-one interview with López Askin about RCV that includes additional election information.

Along with the RCV videos, the City will continue to air City Council meetings and work sessions live a 1 p.m. on Mondays with rebroadcasts at their regular times. The City will also air at their regular times meetings of the Planning and Zoning Commission, Animal Service Center of the Mesilla Valley, Dona Ana County Commission and Las Cruces School Board.

The 2019 local election using Ranked Choice Voting includes races for mayor, City Council districts 1, 2 and 4, and presiding municipal Court Judge.
