I would like to take this opportunity to compliment the courtesy and professionalism of Officer Oscar Magallanes. Officer Magallanes pulled me over for an expired tag on my vehicle. I had received the new tag from the New Mexico DMV but had failed to place the new tag on my vehicle and place the new registration in the glove compartment - completely my fault. The demeanor that Officer Magallanes displayed and common courtesy given to me were exemplary. Too many times our police officers only receive complaints. Officer Magallanes is a great example of what we expect our officers to be and is a credit to the Las Cruces Police Department.
