The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department is offering “Thanksgiving Break Camp” from 7:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25, and at the same times on Tuesday, Nov. 26 and Wednesday, Nov. 27. The camp is for children from kindergarten through fifth grade.
The camp will be at A. Fielder Memorial Safe Haven, 906 N. Tornillo St. Breakfast and lunch will be provided. “Thanksgiving Break Camp” is part of the Out-of-School Time program that provides a positive use of leisure time, promotes fundamentals of play, appreciation for the environment, and interpersonal skills.
There is no cost for “Thanksgiving Break Camp.” However, space is limited to participants on a first-come-first-served basis.
Registration can be completed at http://www.las-cruces.org/play and select the "Online Registration" link. Registration can also be completed during regular business hours at the following locations:
- Parks & Recreation Department Administrative Office, 1501 E. Hadley Ave., 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.
- Meerscheidt Recreation Center, 1600 E. Hadley Ave., 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday to Friday, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
- Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center, 1401 E. Hadley Ave., 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday, and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.
- Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center, 304 W. Bell Ave., 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.
