[ARCHIVED] Meerscheidt Recreation Center Updates

This week’s youth basketball games, Tuesday, April 16 through Thursday, April 18, will be played as scheduled at the Sierra Middle School main gym, 1700 Spruce Avenue (corner of Spruce and Walnut). Game times will remain as scheduled.


Lil’ Hoopster games scheduled for Saturday, April 20, will remain at Meerscheidt Recreation Center. If games need to be canceled on April 20, all games will be rescheduled and dates, times, and locations will be posted.


All practice rentals scheduled for April 16 through April 18, at Meerscheidt Recreation Center are cancelled and will be rescheduled.


On-site individual registration has been rescheduled for the 2019 Lil’ Sluggers T-Ball and Coach Pitch leagues for Saturday, April 20, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Parks & Recreation Administration Office, 1501 E. Hadley Ave, Building B. The leagues are offered to Pre-K through 4th grade levels based on the 2019/20 school year and play will begin on June 10. Players in Pre-K must be 4 years old by June 10 to register. Cost is $35 for returning team individuals (no jersey) and $45 for new players (includes a game jersey). Space is limited and registration is first come, first served.


*All participants will be required to have a Parks & Recreation Activity ID card to participate in the league. To obtain a card, parents or guardians, along with the child, must appear in person to fill out the permission form, provide proof of child's age and grade level, and have the child's photo taken. Activity ID cards must be obtained by June 1.
