The man found dead Wednesday afternoon in the vestibule of a bus stop on Walnut Street has been identified as a 54-year-old Caucasian man who was believed to be homeless.
Police have yet to locate next of kin so his name will be withheld until family has been notified.
No foul play is suspected in the man’s death.
Shortly after 4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, Las Cruces police were dispatched to a welfare check on a man who appeared to be unresponsive in the vestibule of a bus stop on Walnut Street near Lohman Avenue. Officers arrived to find the man deceased.
Las Cruces police will release the man’s name once next of kin have been notified.
