This March, Hilary Mantel is releasing the long-awaited conclusion to the Booker-Award winning Wolf Hall series. Come to Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Ave., as we read – and watch – our way through Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies. Whether you are re-reading the series, getting a jump-start on your New Year resolution, or are a history buff, there is a place for you in this book club!
To set the literary stage, we’ll kick things off at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020 with a lecture on Tudor England by NMSU Professor Jamie Bronstein. We’ll have a reading schedule, supporting materials, and refreshments. After that, we’ll meet every other week to discuss what we’ve read and watched part of the miniseries. We’ll conclude with a final discussion on February 29 and have prizes for those who completed the challenge. Ask at the Branigan Library Reference Desk for the reading schedule.
Don’t forget to put yourself on hold for the conclusion to Mantel’s Wolf Hall trilogy! Reserve The Mirror and the Light in the Thomas Branigan Memorial Library’s catalog today!
