Bring your curiosity for a hands-on investigation that involves the whole family at “Saturday Family Science – Earthquakes,” presented by the Museum of Nature & Science, 411 N. Main St., from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020. Entry to the museum and the program are free, and no registration is required.
Learn about Earth’s tectonic plates and find out how their movements can result in earthquakes. Work together to build a simple seismometer to measure vibrations from simulated earthquakes in the museum’s classroom.
The Museum of Nature & Science is open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 9 a.m. until 4:30pm Saturday. The museum is accessible on RoadRUNNER Transit Route 1, Stop 36.
