[ARCHIVED] Beautify the Team Up to Clean Up Way!

Group of people cleaning up areas.

Get rid of weeds, trash, junk, graffiti, and other debris in your neighborhood the Team Up to Clean Up way!

The City of Las Cruces Parks & Recreation Department’s Keep Las Cruces Beautiful (KLCB) will begin the next cycle of Team Up to Clean Up! neighborhood cleanups in City Council District 6, represented by Councilor Yvonne Flores, from 8 a.m. to noon March 21, 2020. Residents are encouraged to gather their neighbors and clean up their neighborhood as part of an initiative to have all residents join efforts toward maintaining property, beginning with where they live. Supplies such as bags and gloves, and locations within the district, if needed, will be provided by KLCB.

Las Cruces Utilities Solid Waste will provide a roll-off container at 2834 N Telshor Boulevard, the former Tee Time parking lot. The container will be in the parking lot at the intersection where Telshor Boulevard, Northrise Drive and Del Rey Boulevard meet. This service will be available for District 6 residents to utilize for the event and will remain on site throughout the weekend. KLCB staff will have a supply station at that location.

“Team Up to Clean Up!” is a beautification program to help reverse the process of neighborhood deterioration and enhance the quality of life. The goal is to enlist residents to voluntarily eliminate neighborhood deterioration and unsafe conditions in order to enhance property values as well as create a cleaner, safer and healthier environment.

Residents can find their district at las-cruces.org/DistrictMap. The schedule for clean ups is:

March 21 District 6

April 11 Great American Clean-up

June 20 District 3

July 18 District 5

August 15 District 1

September 19 District 4
