LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Following guidance from Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham and the New Mexico Department of Health-related to large gatherings, Visit Las Cruces will postpone the Inaugural Las Cruces City Fest, originally scheduled for Saturday, May 30.
“Although we’re saddened to delay this much-anticipated festival, ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone involved is our top priority,” said Visit Las Cruces Interim Executive Director Rochelle Miller-Hernandez. “Las Cruces has outstanding attractions and activities for people all ages and interests which can still be enjoyed year-round.”
Any updates about the festival will be posted to the Visit Las Cruces website at https://www.lascrucescvb.org/cityfest/.
The governor on Wednesday issued a public health emergency related to the risk of the spread of the COVID-19 virus. As part of this announcement, the governor and Department of Health directed state government and advised local governments across New Mexico to cancel events with large crowds through at least the end of April.
