Kudos to Albert and Liz for representing southern New Mexico and Las Cruces in its efforts to promote our region as a premier convention and event destination! Albert Herrera sits on the Communications Board and Liz Vega is a contributing member of the New Mexico Chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPI). MPI acts as a prominent voice for the promotion and growth of the convention, meetings and event industry. It has more than 70 chapters in 75 countries worldwide. Although the New Mexico chapter is one of the smallest, it is a very strong one and their members are greatly involved. Recently, the chapter received the MPI Chapter Excellence Award. Since the board and members are located throughout New Mexico, the award traveled so that it could be shared with chapter members.
