I received a letter from one of our regular hiking participants and wanted to share. On March 5th, the participant had fallen during one of our guided hikes and sustained a few non-serious injuries. She luckily walked out on her own. I would like to share the letter I received that gives kudos to the professionalism and fast action from one of the City’s Parks and Recreation professionals; Recreation Programs, Rec Coordinator, Shaunna Foster.

"I am writing to let you know how skillfully Shaunna Foster performed when I fell on the trail on March 5. She is extremely well-trained in handling emergencies and I benefited from her expertise. She is the perfect person to be leading hikes. Also, Jackie Simmons followed all of Shaunna’s directions very well. The recreation center is lucky to have two very capable employees".

We certainly agree and are thankful to employ such a skilled outdoor recreation professional. Kudos to Shaunna Foster! Our community is in great hands on the City’s guided outdoor adventures!
