[ARCHIVED] ROADRUNNER TRANSIT TO OFFER REDUCED FARE

In response to the spread of COVID-19, also known as the coronavirus, the City of Las Cruces RoadRUNNER Transit and Dial-a-Ride are taking the following precautions:

Effective Monday, March 16, RoadRUNNER Transit buses and Dial-a-Ride will be fare-free until further notice. This will reduce cash and fare handling and minimize face-to-face interactions with other passengers and transit staff.

We have stepped up our efforts to clean buses and public facilities. Buses are being disinfected at least daily and more frequently as resources allow.

Highly touched surfaces in the Mesilla Valley Intermodal Transit Terminal will be wiped down with disinfectant wipes 2-3 times a day.

While these precautionary measures are important, they are just one part of the larger community-led effort to prevent the spread of germs. Please continue to do your part by staying informed and following the advice of public health officials. RoadRUNNER Transit encourages everyone to:

• Regularly and thoroughly wash hands
• Cough/Sneeze into a tissue or sleeve
• Stay home if you feel sick
• Carry personal sanitizing wipes or hand gels to use as needed.
