[ARCHIVED] Asylum Seekers Report for April 30, 2019

114 asylum seekers were dropped off today by Border Patrol.

There were no people sheltered in City facilities overnight.

91 people were received this morning, and it is not anticipated that anyone will need to be sheltered tonight at the government facilities.

The Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and the Annunciation House appear to be able to take everybody.

The Armory at 1300 Brown Road has been secured, but the infrastructure is still being set up. The Triage center is serving as the primary intake location and will continue to until the Armory is ready.

Organizers are looking to get each asylum seeker to a full-service facility where they get showers, clothing and travel arrangements in one location and overflow has gone to the Annunciation house.
