The Las Cruces City Council will meet at 1 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2019 at City Hall, 700 N. Main St. The meeting will be televised live at 1 p.m. Monday on Comcast Cable channel 20. It will also be webcast live at 1 p.m. Monday here and will also be available online at the City’s Facebook page.
Resolutions and ordinances for discussion by the council include:
Resolution No.19-162: A resolution authorizing Cancer Aid Resource & Education, Inc. (CARE) to close Main Street, from Griggs Avenue to Las Cruces Avenue, for two days in a row for La Gran Fiesta, on September 20 and September 21, 2019 and to authorize an exception to the City Manager Sponsorship Policy (CM Policy 2.12, 6/21/2017) and waive all permitting fees for CARE events.
Resolution No.19-163: A resolution restricting on-street parking in the Tax Increment Development District to two hours, during 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on any day, except Sundays and public holidays.
Resolution No.19-164: A resolution adopting funding priorities and allocations to various Las Cruces non-profit organizations for Fiscal Year 2020 (FY20) to provide for health-related public services needs and authorizing the incorporation of the funding amounts into the City’s FY20 budget.
Council Bill No. 19-023; Ordinance No. 2888: An ordinance repealing and replacing in its entirety Section 27-12-9, Parking Regulations, of the Las Cruces Municipal Code (LCMC) 1997, as amended.
