  1. City of Anthony 

Chief Lara: reported a crowd at Wells Fargo early Friday morning, sent an officer to mitigate any issues related to noncompliance of social distancing directive. 

Nothing new from the City. Yesterday, city announced a declaration of emergency.    

  1. City of Sunland Park 

Nothing new operationally to report.  

  1. City of Las Cruce 

There was a request from Councilor Gandara to produce radio/video PSA on resources available to those affected by domestic violence and child abuse. Jennifer relayed to the group that the City communications team has video podcast capabilities, should anyone need to use that resource for messaging.        

Jamie from Doña Ana County: spoke with the state EOC on resources for public education on domestic violence/child abuse.  

  1. Las Cruces Police Department  

      Dan can be available for radio/TV PSAs. City Codes is concerned about illegal dumping, since transfer stations are closed. Will be putting out news release on thatThere was some discussion on amended schedules at transfer stations in the county, which was sent to the public from South Central Solid Waste Authority.  

  1. Las Cruces Public Schools 

      Dr. Trujillo will be making radio appearances to update parents on the remote learning plan. KGRT was today, and she will be featured on KRWG’s Voice of the Public next Tuesday from 2 to 3 p.m. for parents, students or teachers to call in. Bus routes have been finalized for meal distribution, will begin on Monday. Enrichment channel on YouTube is being updated with new content, and Mr.Owl link has been posted on www.lcps.net with additional resources.  

  1. Doña Ana County 

  • County Treasurer Eric Rodriguez reminded residents that to avoid penalty and interest accruals, property second half taxes are due on Monday, May 11.  Since in-person payment services are closed, the following payment options are available: 

  • By phone: 575-647-7433, toll free 1-877-827-7200 ext. 7433 

  • Online at: www.donaanacounty.org/treasurer/payments 

  • By mail: P.O. Box 1179, Las Cruces, NM  88004 

  • 24-hour drop box: in front of the County Government Center 

  • Bill pay: this is a service provided by most banks 

  1. Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Office

  1. Mesilla Valley Regional Dispatch Authority (MVRDA) 

Nothing new to report Friday. Passed along information to protect government agencies in Zoom meetings. 

  1. U.S. Customs and Border Protection, El Paso Sector 

   Nothing to report Friday. 

  1. New Mexico Department of Health 

      Working with TriCorps on speedy results for tests. Increasing capacity in the coming weeks as technology comes online, will be able to process more tests. Will report more positive cases later today. DOH is also working on updating information on their website regarding testing capacity, PPE inventory and other dashboard-friendly links for people.
