COVID19 Joint Information Center

  1. City of Anthony 

Chief Lara has a resource from Axon to share with the JIC which will be sent to members via email. No other changes operationally, aside from a slight increase in property crimes since the public health order went into effect.  

City manager, Oscar Dominguez, also had nothing to report    

  1. City of Sunland Park 

Nothing to update   

  1. City of Las Cruces 

City council is currently meeting to extend emergency declaration which will open additional funding opportunities in relation to the crisisand to enforce petty misdemeanors in response to large gatherings.   

  1. Las Cruces Police Department / Las Cruces Fire Department 

News release forthcoming on city parks remaining closed over the weekend, enforcement will be happening. Security guards will be stationed at area parks to discourage large gatherings.  

Most signage has been posted at area retail businesses reflecting 

  1. Las Cruces Public Schools 

Staff is observing the Good Friday holiday today, but nutritional services staff provided today’s meals yesterday. A total of 30,000 meals were distributed yesterday.  

Next week, technology check-out schedules continue at several schools .Teachers continue to stay engaged with students through remote learning and other traditional printed materials when necessary 

  1. Doña Ana County 

No update Friday. 

  1. Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Office 

 No update Friday.  

  1. Doña Ana County Detention Center 

 Nothing new to report.  

  1. Village of Hatch 

Village offices are still closed to the public. Office staff is working a 
limited schedule of 2 days a week. The Museum and Library are still closed. 
Hours and schedule will be reviewed at next Tuesdays Trustee meeting. 

  1. Town of Mesilla 

 Nothing new to report 

  1. Memorial Medical Center (MMC) 

 A flyer with information on donations to MMC was attached to today’s notes, addressing how donations are being accepted and managed. MMC staff is very appreciative of the enormous amount of support they’ve received from the public. Anyone needing additional information on how to donate to MMC can visit www.mmcdonation.org.       

  1. Mountain View Regional Medical Center 

 No changes operationally Friday.  

  1. New Mexico State University 

No report Friday.  

  1.  New Mexico State University Police  

Nothing new to report Friday    

  1. Office of Emergency Management (OEM) 

       Slight change to operations for enhanced planning to address surge at area hospitals. More details forthcoming, Notification from state JIC that an emergency notification will go out tomorrow on avoiding mass gatherings over the holiday weekend   

  1. Southern New Mexico Correctional Facility 

  Nothing to report Friday. 

  1. State of NM Aging & Long-Term Services - Ombudsman Program 

       Nothing new to report Friday. 

  1. Mesilla Valley Regional Dispatch Authority (MVRDA) 

       Dispatchers will receive needed masks from MountainView and DASO.   

  1. U.S. Customs and Border Protection, El Paso Sector 

 Nreport Friday. 

  1. New Mexico Department of Health 

       No report Friday.
